"Actual Events Podcast Intro"
"Actual Events Podcast Outro"
The intro and outro music of this episode was composed, on synth and sequencing software by Marc McDowell. He and his wife, Meadow, co host a fantastic true crime podcast, Actual Events Podcast. These tracks are the intro and outro bumpers to this podcast. Check it out in the following places!
"Doubtful Resolve"
This piano piece has a dark, airy feel with dapples of light. It begins in G#m and modulates to Ab and then F#m. Eamon took special care to make sure this modulation practically seamless.
See how it's done!
"US 1"
Our FIRST EVER songwriter submission, by Nancy Mitchell, is in C major and in 4/4 time. Nancy uses the major pentatonic scale, which contributes to a
folk American feel. Give it a listen and enjoy this lighthearted and serendipitous story!
"Theme For Tex's Tavern"
For his first shot at ragtime, we would say Chris Owen is well on his way! Notice the left hand pattern, in the bass clef, and how it provides a consistent and reliable foundation. The right hand, in the treble clef is running wild with chromaticism and 32nd note runs. It has the freedom to do so as the bass provides a solid ground for it to come back to whenever it likes.
Chris tends to use Latin for his working titles.
So don't be confused by the printed title.
"James Dean"
Andersonlane is an awesome Australian country western band that consists of rowdy, righteous, rebel, love birds, Chris "Tex" Owen and Cheryl "Andersonlane" Anderson. They just released a new album, "This Girl". Check them out:
"Long Forgotten Dream"
Like a hardcore composer, Don notated this on a notation software and converted the MIDI file to mp3. It features an accordion, guitar, guiro and conga, all of which contribute to a romantic European setting. He confirms this to be based in Paris and a part of a musical he's working on! Keep up the good work, Don!
"Clinic By The Park"
This meditative piano piece was created from the inspiration of the French impressionists of the Romantic Era. This piece is in D dorian and is but a small representation of his work.
Jason has divided his compositions among the following identities:
"Jason LaRay Keener"- Classical, Cinematic
"Awfulizer"- Insane, Noisy, Chaotic
"Runt Vulture"- Hip Hop Grooves, Beats
"Splash '96"- Pop sounds from the 80's and 90's.
You can hear more of Jason's music on:
"This Is All It Takes"
Jon has certainly mastered the art of executing convincing MIDI articulations. The guitar and bass lines were the only non-digital recordings. A weaving organ, a nostalgic piano and a mellow guitar soar above tight tight groove on the bass and drums. Every instrument has it's moment to shine! Jon has just released "Psalms For Sinners" You can here more about Jon and his music on:
